Thanks for your reply. I did not get the same sense from your third diamond compared to the Zendesk article that Brian Barclay shared. That one goes into a lot more depth about how the Agile build is iterative, and early implementations need a lot of experimentation to fulfill the desired solution in the preceding step. (Not all Agile implementations actually allow for any significant experimentation - shocking, I know!) I didn't get that sense from your article.

And yet, there is still a "code smell" in the triple diamond, even after this clarification. Looking at the double diamond, the 3rd and 4th stages are "develop" and "deliver". Surely these can apply to an Agile delivery program too? It seems to me that you could just slot in Agile as an iteration of that second diamond couldn't you?

I presume from your response that you are a designer. I am a software engineer. So I come at this with a different perspective to you. It would be interesting to explore this idea further.
